People may dream about creating an academy. However, that kind of dream needs a lot of cash and effort to create a great and famous one. The imagination may will always the carnage of the pessimist. The dream about creating a world-class academy does not need lots of money and enormous labor work. It even does not need a big building with hundreds of chairs and computers. It only needs Sal Khan, a 33 year-old former hedge fund manager and Harvard MBA graduate. He owns the khanacademy.org website and posts it with lots of teaching videos with various subjects. It was all started because he wants to help his nephew to study math in a different part of the country. At first he was doing online teaching through the internet, but due to the time differences, finally he posted all of his teaching videos on youtube. We all know how public the youtube could be, then some of the other youtube users found out that the way Khan’s teach is easily understood. As Khan’s tutor fans increasing on the internet with all comments and demands about other topics, he keep posted more and more topics. Now you can browse 1800+ video in various topics, from Algebra to history and Geithner plan.
It appears that Bill Gates was really impressed with the cheapest academy with only one lecturer and one computer.
