If Bob Marley is still alive, I’d send him this guitar.
Love and Marriage Wisdom
What I’m going to post next is not a wisdom that I invented myself. I got this from a forwarded email from my best buddy and while I was reading this, somehow I felt that I was being punched by its words. It’s been nearly 2 years I don’t have any girlfriend, and I learn much about being a boyfriend, being a single, and about love itself. I realized that I’ve made a mistake while I was a boyfriend of someone who have a tender heart, loving attitudes, honest, have her eyes on me so much, and of course, beautiful girl she is. I abandoned her because I thought I was hurt her badly and I felt she wouldn’t be happier if I was still with her. However, I found that all totally wrong after a week we didn’t contact each others and I was too afraid to ask her back. It was wrong because I thought “I should make her happy”. It was a dead wrong. It is “Me and my girlfriend, who should make ourselves happy.” Love cannot work alone. Love can only work together through pain, sadness, and anger. There is no flawless love. Sometimes I wonder if she would forgive me about what I’ve done.
Here I attached the wisdom of love and marriage that I’ve got, so we all can reflect on ourselves what is love and marriage mean to us.
A student asks a teacher, “What is love?” The teacher said, “in order
to answer your question, go to the padi field and choose the biggest
padi and come back. But the rule is: you can go through them only once and cannot turn
back to pick.”The student went to the field, go thru first row, he saw one big padi,
but he wonders….may be there is a bigger one later. Then he saw
another bigger one… but may be there is a even bigger one waiting
for him.Later, when he finished more than half of the padi field, he start to
realize that the padi is not as big as the previous one he saw, he
know he has missed the biggest one, and he regretted !!!! So, he ended
up went back to the teacher with empty hand. The teacher told him, “…this is love… you keep looking for a
better one, but when later you realize, you have already miss the
person….”“What is marriage then?” the student asked.
The teacher said, “in order to answer your question, go to the corn
field and choose the biggest corn and come back. But the rule is: you can go through them only once and cannot turn back to pick.
“The student went to the corn field, this time he is careful not to
repeat the previous mistake, when he reach the middle of the field, he
has picked one medium corn that he feel satisfy, and come back to the
teacher. The teacher told him, “this time you bring back a corn…. you look
for one that is just nice, and you have faith and believe this is the
best one you get…. this is marriage.”
